The Troy-Miami County Public Library is excited to offer a growing Library of Things, a collection of non-traditional items that go far beyond books. With your TMCPL library card, you can borrow tools, gadgets, science kits, and other useful items to support your hobbies, projects, and everyday needs. Whether you’re planning a game night, diving into DIY, or exploring something new, we have resources to help you get started at no cost.

How It Works

Browse the full Library of Things collection and place holds online through the Library of Things page. Items reserved through the Maker Lab must be picked up at the Maker Lab location on the date you select at checkout.

What You’ll Need

To borrow items, you’ll need:

  • A valid TMCPL library card and your four-digit PIN

  • A valid email address and phone number are required for Maker Lab items.
