Troy Book Fest - Author Applications

The Troy-Miami County Public Library is excited to host the Troy Book Fest on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We invite local and regional authors to apply to meet readers, sell books, and celebrate the love of reading with our community.

Author Application is open now. 

  • September 14: Authors notified of acceptance
  • September 30: Deadline to return participation paperwork to reserve your space

Each accepted author will receive a table and two chairs. Please note:

  • Table coverings, tents, and electricity are not provided.
  • Free Wi-Fi will be available, though authors are encouraged to bring a mobile hotspot or other internet backup if needed.
  • Authors may begin setting up at 9 a.m.
  • Each author is responsible for their own book sales and payment processing.

The festival will be held in Library Park, located behind the Troy-Miami County Public Library.

If weather requires, the event will move indoors to the library's Community Room.


Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee to participate?

No. There is no cost for accepted authors to exhibit at the Troy Book Fest.

Will there be author panels?

We hope to offer panel discussions throughout the day. Topics will depend on participating authors but may include writing, publishing, marketing, and the creative process.

How are authors selected?

Applications will be reviewed by the planning team. Selections will be based on the order applications are received while also ensuring a varied range of genres and intended age groups to create a well-rounded experience.
