Meet Our New Staff We're excited to welcome two new team members, Katie and Nate, to the Oakes-Beitman Memorial Library team. They have been a great addition to our staff and have already dived right into helping with programming and events! You can read below to learn more about who they are and their experience at the library so far. What is a hobby or interest that you enjoy outside of work? Katie: I'm an author and artist, so I enjoy working on my original stories and practicing my skills! Nate: I really enjoy bowling! I was on my high school bowling varsity team for two years and still enjoy bowling in leagues even now! What is your favorite book or favorite author? Katie: The Skyhunter Duology by Marie Lu Nate: Tokyo Vice by Jake Adelstein What is your favorite memory from working at the library so far? Katie: Some of my favorite memories have been helping run programs and seeing how much fun everyone has! I especially love running our DnD program! Nate: So far, my favorite memory has been presenting my first program at the library. I can't wait for the next one! If you could live in any book, which one would it be? Katie: The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O'Neill. I love the idea of having a dragon as a companion. Nate: Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi.
