Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library are volunteers who support library projects with two large book sales each year. The next book sale is April 15-17 at the Miami County Fairgrounds, Shop 'n Crop building.  The proceeds from these sales are used to sponsor the Summer Reading Club, as well as a variety of projects to benefit the library. Other projects and materials funded include:

  • Children's and Adult books
  • The automated double doors to the parking area
  • The bench near the Main Street entrance
  • Downloadable audiobooks
  • CD books
  • The automatic doors to the public restrooms facilitating access for the handicapped

Volunteers are always welcomed to help sort, box, move and sell books for the book sales, make phone calls or work on the Friends newsletter.  Members of the Friends have the advantage of early shopping at the twice annual event. Memberships are $5 for an individual and $9 for the entire family.  See link below for a membership form.
